F-liiga 2020-2021 opened on Saturday with six women’s games. The first major surprise result was delivered in Oulu where SSRA’s numerous player losses did not show as they beat reigning champions SB-Pro 6-5.
Having just travelled the 500 kilometres to Oulu, SB-Pro foune themselves theree goals down after merely ten minutes. After two periods they had pulled abreast but in the third period, Jonna Virkkunen and Sanni Uimarihuhta scored for SSRA. Pulling their goalie brought SB-Pro Ina Leminen’s goal but that was not enough today.
