Regular season in now over in the women’s series and the teams chose their opponents for the first round of playoffs on Saturday. TPS had the first pick and they chose Koovee, Classic chose SaiPa, FBC Loisto will play against Eräviikingit and hence the fourth team SB-Pro will play against SSRA.
There were exciting games in the final round. FBC Loisto and Eräviikingit were fighting for fourth placement and hence for home-advantage for the playoffs, and Loisto was better with goals 2-0.
PSS, who has struggled this season, won O2-Jyväskylä 7-4 and with these three points they managed to reach 10th place which keeps PSS in F-liiga for the next season. O2-Jyväskylä and Welhot will move on to qualification rounds for the league.
TPS, the three time subsequent champion, won all of their 22 games: 20 games in actual playing time, one game in overtime and one in shootouts.
