Eräviikingit defeated SB-Pro in Saturday’s bronze-match 4-3. This was a third bronze-medal for ErVi, and the last time Eräviikingit made it to medals was in the season 2021-22.
In Saturday’s game Milla Ylikojola led Eräviikingit to 1-0 lead, and Tove Tantere grew the lead to two goals before the end of the first period. In the second period, Jenni Torkki and Jenni Rautanen tied the game. However, SB-Pro suffered a penalty in the end of the period and Emma Parta took advantage of the power-play, making the score to 3-2 for Eräviikingit. Iina Latvala scored once more for Eräviikingit in the third period. SB-Pro took their goalie off the field and tried to even out the game, but Veronika Kopecka’s goal was not quite enough.
