Pelicans Lahti will not attend women’s the F-Liiga season. The club made its decision on Sunday. With no official explanation given, it is understood the team had too few players to attend the league.
Women’s B division will therefore exceptionally be played as a seven-team series. The board of the Finnish Floorball Federation will decide about eventual relegation and promotion in its meeting on 29th September.
Pelicans SB had two seasons on women’s higherst season. In 2018-2019 they finished 7th and in 2019-2020 9th. After each season, several players have left the team to join its rivals.
