Nokian Henri Johansson became F-liiga’s first ever 1,000-point man as he had an assist on Nokian KrP’s 3–0 goal in tonight’s away game against Steelers.
With already a goal, Henri Johansson passed the ball to linesmate Joona Rantala who scored KrP’s third. Naturally, play was stopped and Johansson was presented a bouquet of flowers with a tsunami of congratulations both on site and on social media.
Having made his highest league debut in 2002, Henri Johansson played his first saven years for Classic and is now doing his 12th season for Nokian KrP. His top season this far was in 2011-2012 when he set new one-season records for goals (62) and points (91). He also holds the records for most goals in one game (9, shared with Lasse Riitesuo) and most points in one game (10, shared with Riitesuo and Sami Johansson). He won the men’s World Championshit title in 2010 and the U19 World Championship title in 2003 for Finland. Curiously, Henri Johansson has two Finnish league silver medals but is still chasing his first Finnish league title.
