Forward Johannes Vähäkangas is leaving F-liiga Oilers for his native Blue Fox and Divari which is the second highest series in Finland. During this and the previous season, the 21-year old represented Oilers in 11 F-liiga games scoring no points.
“We were unfortunately unable to find Johannes a suitable role in the team and for his further development as a player the best choice is to rejoin Blue Fox”, Oilers’ head coach Heikki Luukkonen says.
Blue Fox coach Jori Isomäki is happy to have Vähäkangas back.
“Having him join the team is big for us and he is going to be an important player here. We hope to support his development enough to see him back in F-liiga in the future again. I also want to express our gratitude towards Oilers who we have an axcellent co-operation with.”
