TPS’ winning streak of 10 games came to an end in Espoo as Oilers beat the Turku team 11-6. Tuomas Iiskola had four assists including his 300th regular season point, with his brother Heikki Iiskola scoring a hat trick.
TPS were able to come back to 4-3 after Oilers’ knockout start of three goals in 13 minutes. In the second period, the hosts sped off again never and in the start of the third, Jesperi Lindfors made it 9-4 with a shot that went in deflected by a TPS player.
“After the loss against Classic, we wanted to show what we can”, Tuomas Iiskola said in a TV interview. “Yet, we were still not at our best, giving up too many soft goals”.
TPS presently stand third and Oilers fifth in F-liiga. Unsurprisingly, Classic lead the pack having lost just one point in their 12 games.
