F-liiga play-offs got an early start in Espoo as the local rivals Oilers and Westend Indians took on each other on Thursday. Oilers came out stronger with a 5-4 win after two power play goals and one practically short-handed.
Santeri Lindfors scored the opener the very second Oilers’ early penalty ended and he was fouled leading to an Indians penalty and another Oilers goal. With 3-2, Westend Indians missed two power plays an a penalty shot to then see Oilers score their second of the night with five against four.
Having come back back from 5-2 to 5-4, Indians came close to tying it up as they watched Otto Lehkosuo’s shot hit the crossbar and bounce downwards at 59.58. It is worth mentioning it was Lehkosuo’s Lehkosuo’s fourth goalframe hit in the game…
