In the Finnish Cup semi-finals, giants Classic were eliminated by Nokian KrP and now it happened again. KrP equalized the score in F-liiga semi-finals, beating Classic 7-5 at home last night.
From the start, Nokian KrP punctured Classic’s forechecking with long passes, taking a 3-0 lead in the first period. Henri Johansson started the second with two quick goals, making it 5-0 (!) before Sami Johansson scored Classic’s opener. The reigning champions were finally able to come back to 7-5 but never got close to tying it up.
The tems now stand at 1-1 before Game 3 on Wednesday.
In the other pair, Oilers lead 2-0 against TPS after a 6-2 away victory last night in Turku.
