Reigning champions Classic started the F-liiga finals impressively, crushing challengers Oilers 9-1. Unstoppable Sami Johansson continued as himself, scoring a hat trick topped with three assists.
No less than seven of Classic’s goal were scored by their power unit Eemeli Salin – Ville Lastikka – Sami Johansson, Mikko Leikkanen – Nico Salo with the first three against Oilers’ first line.
Sami Johansson keeps crushing F-liiga play-off records as he now holds the ones for most goals (24) and most points (39) in single play-off season.
Game 2 will be played on Thursday.
