Karoliina Kujala's overtime goal decides dramatic Game 3

SB-Pro took a 2-1 lead in the F-liiga final series as they beat PSS 4-3 at home with Karoliina Kujala’s overtime goal.

Game 3 of the finals took a dramatic turn as SB-Pro’s Jaana Lirkki was sent off after a collision with a PSS player. At that point, SB-Pro had a 2-0 lead with Lirkki having two assists. The following five-minute power-play brought PSS one goal and six minutes into full time they came abreast after a Celine Stettler goal assisted by Linda Törnqvist.

The plot just thickened from there as Aada Isometsä’s rebound goal after a strong forechecking by Meri-Helmi Höynälä and Aino Tuokkola and a super save by PSS goalie Arla Salo put the home team ahead at 57.36. But in the next shift, Höynälä lost the ball in their own zone to Ella Holmberg who lost no time setting up Ella Sundström for an equalizer.

In the overtime, SB-Pro’s first Ina Leminen and then Aino Tuokkola had to be assisted off the rink with twisted ankles but Leminen came back to start the play that led to Karoliina Kujala tipping in the winning goal by the far post.
