SB-Pro hold on, take the final series to Game Seven

With their backs against the wall, reigning Finnish champions SB-Pro tied the final series away in Porvoo with a 4-3 win. The title will be decided in game in Nurmijärvi 7 on Thursday.

Tonight, SB-Pro’s first line Jaana LirkkiElina KujalaKaroliina Kujala gave them a two-goal lead in the first period but PSS managed to come abreast after a lucky bounce by Henna Uljua and a beauty set up by  Fanny Holmberg and Ella Sundström for Celine Stettler to finish.

The game was decided mid-third period when SB-Pro scored twice within 11 seconds. First their midget line stole the ball in the offensive zone and Aino Tuokkola slipped a shot in between the near post and goalie Arla Salo who until then had had an superb game. After SB-Pro winning the face-off, Ina Leminen gave the ball to Elina Kujala who broke free from her opponent to walk in and put another low shot past Salo. Pulling their goalie, PSS got one back but SB-Pro held for the final three minutes despite an enormous pressure and the ball bouncing crazily in front of their net.
