The very first F-liiga Draft event took place at the Bläk Boks Arena on May 17th, 2023. Two contracts were published right away as Chech players Adam Hemerka was signed by Classic Tampere and goalkeeper Martin Hanousek by Nurmon Jymy.
Right after Draft event, also EräViikingit published two contracts with two young Czech stars as theirs first round pick Šimon Stránský and second round pick Matěj Pěnička were announced to join the team. Both players have already made their debutes at the men’s national team. Stránský is a versatile player with innovative mindset as Pěnička is a very fast, right-handed scorer.
The latest news were published on June 20th when the TPS announced that their second round pick Willy Sedin will join the team for the season 23-24. Swedish Sedin joined TPS for a test camp earlier this Summer and convinced the team with his skills and also as a person. In the end, the decision wes easy to make, said TPS head coach Perttu Kytöhonka.
