F-liiga semifinals in men’s series began with Classic-SPV, which Classic won 5-2. Teams need four wins for a place in the finals and the next game is on Sunday in Seinäjoki.
Eero Karjanlahti, SPV, was the first to score. However, Jami Manninen, tied the game in power-play before the first intermission. Classic mainly dominated the second period and was rewarded with goals by Ville Lastikka and Konsta Tykkyläinen, even though Teppo Liukkonen was playing an excellent game in protecting SPV’s goal. SPV was back in the game after Konsta Haukkala’s goal, but this remained as the last one for the team. Classic scored twice more in the third period with goals from Tiitus Salokangas and Jami Manninen.
Jami Manninen was the top scorer of the night with two goals and one assist.
The second semifinal pair Oilers-Westend Indians has their first game on Friday.
