Classic won SPV 6-4 in Thursday’s game and hence cleared the semifinals with 4-0 wins, making it to the finals. Westend Indians and Oilers, who is leading the semifinals with 2-1 wins, will play their fourth game on Friday.
SPV had a big audience of 1166 people watching, as Juuso Keskinen and Didrik Lillas scored a powerful start for the game, taking the home team to lead 2-0. However, Classic turned the game and scored three goals before the end of first period. The masterminds behind the goals were Eemeli Salin, Aaro Helin and Peteris Treksen. The second period continued with the same note, as Eemeli Salin grew the numbers to 4-2 after only 11 seconds in the period. In the final period Toni Salminen scored a fifth goal for Classic. SPV took their goalie off the court, but Oskari Heikkilä uset the opportunity to score to the empty net, growing the lead to 6-2. SPV did not give up without a fight, and Juuso Keskinen as well as Sami Koski were able to score once each before the end of the game.
In F-liiga qualifiers LASB secured their place in F-liiga for season 2025-26, as they won Hawks in shoot-outs 3-2 and hence took the series with wins 3-1. Hawks was close to continuing the qualifiers, as they were leading 2-1 with Luukas Huolman’s and Lassi Junnilainen’s goals up until the end of third period. However, Pietari Porttikivi tied the game with four minutes left in the game. There were no goals in overtime so the game was taken to shoot-outs. LASB goalie Santtu Pohjonen saved three out of four shots from the opponents and Mael Marthaler sealed the end results for LASB by shooting the ball to net.
OLS is leading the qualifiers 2-0 against Karhut and these teams will face each other on Friday for the third time.
