Indians Defeated for the Fourth Time – Oilers and Classic to the Finals

Oilers and Classic will play in the finals and for F-liiga championship once again. Last year’s winners Oilers secured their place in the finals after winning Indians 4-2 and hence taking the semifinals with wins 4-1. Indians will play in the bronze-game against SPV.

Jasper Auvinen scored the first goal for Indians in Saturday’s game, but Aaro Astala tied the game before the end of the first period. Justus Kainulainen showed that he has not been chosen as the world’s best player for nothing, as he scored two goals in the second period, growing the lead for Oilers into 3-1. Olli Jokela continued scoring for Oilers before the second intermission. Samuli Junnila scored once more for Indians six minutes before the end of the game, but this remained as the last goal for the night and semifinals.

The finals are played with a best of seven system, and hence a team needs four wins to win the championship.
