LASB, EräViikingit back on track

F-liiga Sunday heard at least two big sounds of relief as LASB and EräViikingit took away victories against OLS and Welhot. Previous to this, this season’s sensation LASB had recorded three and EräViikingit no less than six straight defeats.

In Oulu, LASB were down 5-1 in the second period but were able to come back to a 9-7 win. Starting the season with nine straight games with at least one point, the Lahti team had then slid into a three-game slump.

For OLS, the weekend had a bitter taste as on Saturday they had blown a 3-1 lead against Happee into an 6-7 overtime loss with Swiss Silvan Bolliger scoring the winner.

EräViikingit had been struggling with their goalscoring more and more after every loss but last night everything was right again as they sailed away to a 12-0 victory. In goal, Santeri Kainulainen earned his shutout with 16 saves as Lauri Kunnap in the other end faced 35 shots.
