F-liiga ready for play-offs

F-liiga for men is ready for play-offs as the last regular season games were plyed on Saturday.

Classic, Oilers, TPS, Nokian KrP, Happee, Westend Indians, SPV and LASB will play for the title with Classic getting to pick their quarter-final opponent first. Then it’s Oilers’ turn and TPS third with Happee getting the team that was left unpicked.

The quarter-final pairs will be out on Tuesday.

For EräViikingit, OLS and Tiikerit the season is over.

Steelers and Nurmon Jymy will face each other in a series where the loser will have to defend their spot against the second best Divari team.

Welhot finished last and were relegated to Divari to be replaced by this year’s Divari champion.

Tiikerit started the final regular season day facing Classic on a qualification spot but were saved as they tied the game up in the last minutes getting the point they needed to speed past Steelers. It did not end their as Juuso Salo scored an overtime winner bringing Classic to their second regular season defeat.

Classic’s Sami Johansson became the regular season scoring leader again with his 44 goals, 30 assists and 74 points in 26 games. he was shadowed by the Nokian KrP pair Joona Rantala (30+34=64) and Henri Johansson (37+26=63).
