Classic come back from 0-2 – fifth consecutive title just one win away

Classic are just one victory away from their 5th straight Finnish title after their third final win against Oilers.

After two clear defeats, Oilers performed their best and took an early 2-0 lead in Tampere after goals by Casper Pfitzner and Tuomas Iiskola. After two more incredible shots by unreal Sami Johansson and a goal from the midline by Eetu Sikkinen, the teams were tied at 3-3 in the final period. With just six minutes left, Classic stole the ball in the midzone and opened Oilers’ defence with two cross-passes for Mikko Leikkanen to score the winner by the far post. Three minutes later, power forward Oskari Heikkilä dribbled through the Oilers’ formation to beat goalie Joonas Kaltiainen with a backhand shot.

Game 4 for will take place in Espoo on Sunday.
