F-liiga's northernmost team keeps winning

OLS have been the pleasant surprise of the autumn this far. F-liiga’s northernmost team have won five of their six games and are trailing mighty Classic on the table with just a one-point margin.

Having missed the play-offs in five straight seasons, OLS now seem to have learned how to win even the tight games. Their last-second equalizer and penalty shootout win away against Nokian KrP was followed by a final period comeback from behind to beat SPV 6-4 at home.

As expected, OLS’ silly season steal Joni-Arttu Sieppi tops their scoring with his six goals and an assist but he is closely trailed by Joona Alatorvinen, Eetu Ijäs and Olli Kinnunen with their six, six and five points. In goal, Roni Tuononen has F-liiga’s third best saves percentage after facing an impossible task between Welhot’s posts last year an seeing the team relegated.
