F-liiga finals heading into Game 7 as TPS fight back from 1-3

The F-liiga final series will reach its climax in Game 7 at Hakametsä Ice Hall in Tampere this Friday as TPS have come back from 1-3 to 3-3 against Nokian KrP.

In game 4 last Friday, Nokian KrP advanced to 3-1 after a 7-3 away victory in Turku but things have got complicated for them since. KrP were unable to secure the title at home, losing 3-6 and last night in Turku, TPS rewarded their 2,489-strong home audience with a 4-2 win tying up the series.

In the last two games, TPS’ defense has been able to practically shut down KrP’s famous offensive units consisting of players like Henri Johansson, Mikko Laakso and Joona Rantala. Out of KrP’s five goals in these two games, three have been scored only after pulling their goalie. At the same time, especially Latvian national team star Peteris Trekse and defenseman Olli Laine have stepped up for TPS scoring decisive goals.

Unsurprisingly, tickets for Game 7 are selling like hot cakes.
