COVID-19 moves Finnish Super Cup to Lempäälä

Finnish Super Cup this weekend will be moved from Mikkeli to Lempäälä due to local COVID-19 situation in the Mikkeli area.

As there has been a surge of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the Mikkeli area, local health officials advise against any large gatherings there. Therefore, the Super Cup games between Classic and Nokian KrP and SB-Pro and PSS will take place at Ideapark shopping center in Lempäälä near Tampere. Mikkeli gets to host the Super Cup in 2021.

Elite floorball at Ideapark Lempäälä is no novelty as the location has previously hosted Finnish league home games for both Classic men and women. Spectator limit for this year’s Super Cup will be set at 300 persons.

Super Cup games will be broadcasted internationally on IFF’s YouTube channel and additionally to Czech Republic and Slovakia via Nova Sport.

Schedule (local time)

15.00 PSS–SB-Pro (women)
18.00 Classic–Nokian KrP (men)
