Classic kept up their pace in the second F-liiga final on Thursday as the opening 9-1 trashing of Oilers at home was followed by 6-1 away in Espoo.
Again, Classic’s first unit took care of most of the goals with Eemeli Salin and Sami Johansson both scoring 2+1 and their center Ville Lastikka with a power-play goal. Lastikka’s goal was assisted by defenseman Mikko Leikkanen for whom it was his 100th play-off point.
Even without Rasmus Kainulainen who had been suspended for one game Oilers performed better than in the opening game but had trouble scoring. Greatly because of Lassi Toriseva who had a solid night between Classic’s posts and was less than four minutes from a shutout. He was beaten 6 against 5 by Justus Kainulainen who has scored Oilers’ both and only final goals this far.
The third final will be played already tonight in Tampere.
